Head of Athena Parthenos to right, wearing triple-crested Attic helmet adorned with Pegasos and long tendril on the bowl, and with the foreparts of horses above the visor. Rev. A-ΘE / ΛΕΟΝ/ΤΟΜΕ - ΕΠΙ/ΓΕΝΗ / ΣΩΣΑΝ/ΔΡΟΣ Owl standing facing on amphora; to left, eagle with closed wings standing right on thunderbolt; on amphora, Λ; in exergue, ΔΙ; all within laurel wreath. Thompson 454h. Minor porosity on the obverse, otherwise, very fine.
